The Jubilee
Harbourfest
As part of the
Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations,
Wick held a Harbourfest to mark the occasion.
The Harbour was
full of boats of all shapes and sizes from around a number of ports on the eastern
seaboard.
A vast collection
of stalls, containing local produce for sale, lined the harbour quay.
The 3000 + people
who turned out for the event were entertained by an array of musicians &
dancers.
The RNLI also had
their annual fund raising event on the day.
The band played
at a number of venues around the harbour area. At 4 pm they led off the
ceremonial party for the unveiling of the "Fog Cannon"
