The Happy Pipers Lucerne

Are the First Bagpipe Band of Switzerland, founded in 1973.

Currently under the direction of Pipe Major Heinz Weyermann.

The band is comprised of 15 adult pipers and drummers, most of whom devote their spare time to fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing the Great Highland Bagpipes and drums.

Traditional Highland dress, including kilts of the MacBeth tartan, is worn when the band performs.

On thier visit to wick they performed at the Wednesday Evening Summer Show and also alongside the Wick RBLS pipeband in a Street parade in the Market Square
